Good morning. Athletes at the Olympic Games report that their prizes are so poorly made that the medals fall off their ribbons and onto the floor with the slightest movement. If costs are affecting quality, the International Olympic Committee could always return to the original, much cheaper prize of ancient Greece: a simple olive branch.

Hedge fund billionaire Ray Dalio has issued a stark warning — one that centers on how countries can wield capital as a geopolitical weapon.

“We are on the brink,” Dalio said at the World Governments Summit in Dubai. “That means not in, but it means we are quite close to [a capital war] and it would be very easy to go over the brink into a capital war, because there are mutual fears.”

Dalio pointed to U.S. President Donald Trump’s push to take over Greenland as a potential fault line between the U.S. and Europe. In particular, he said European holders of U.S.-denominated assets could fear sanctions, while there is also “reciprocal fear” on the U.S. side that it could lose access to foreign capital or demand for its assets.

Those concerns are especially significant given Europe’s role in financing the U.S. government. According to Citi, European investors accounted for roughly 80% of foreign buying of U.S. Treasuries between April and November 2025.

Against that chilling backdrop, how should investors protect their wealth?

Stock market investing is a powerful way to build wealth, but it shouldn’t be your only strategy. Expanding beyond stocks into other investments can help diversify risk, increase stability, and create a stronger, more resilient financial plan.

Within that mix, gold can play a particularly steadying role. As a physical asset that isn’t tied to corporate performance, gold can offer meaningful protection against inflation and economic volatility. The price of gold has surged more than 1,400% between January 2000 and December 2025.

One way to invest in gold while enjoying significant tax advantages is to open a gold IRA with Priority Gold.

Gold IRAs allow you to hold physical gold or gold-related assets within a retirement account, combining the tax benefits of an IRA with the wealth-protecting power of gold. This makes them an attractive option for anyone looking to safeguard their retirement savings against economic uncertainty.

If you want to convert an existing IRA into a Gold IRA, Priority Gold offers a 100% free rollover, plus free shipping and storage for up to five years. Qualifying purchases may also receive up to $10,000 in free silver.

An unlucky community of drivers in Texas say they’re paying a huge sum of money in tolls each month simply to enter and exit their neighborhood.

The issue centers on Creekland Village, a subdivision within the Bridgeland development in Harris County, where residents say the neighborhood’s sole entrance and exit funnels directly onto the Grand Parkway — a tolled roadway.

For families who commute daily, handle school drop-offs or run regular errands, the tolls quickly compound.

“There is no other way in or out," resident Nancy Wakeford told local outlet KHOU 11. "So it is costing us hundreds of dollars a month."

At 90, Irving Rosenberg spent a lifetime building his savings. But starting last April, someone began forging Rosenberg's signature on checks and draining his account.

The withdrawals came fast, many over just a few weeks, and added up to $814,000.

Rosenberg didn't catch it. With failing health — including skin cancer, impaired hearing, limited mobility and early-stage dementia — he wasn't in a position to.

"I was angry and frustrated," he told ABC7 Los Angeles. "It took all my life savings … I was hurt."

When Rosenberg realized what had happened, he called Wells Fargo looking for help. The bank opened an investigation but offered little reassurance.

Then came a letter: Wells Fargo was denying his fraud claim.

A) A broken laser pointer.

Founder Pierre Omidyar was amazed when it sold for $14.83. When he emailed the buyer to make sure they knew it was broken, the buyer replied: "I'm a collector of broken laser pointers." Mark Fraser, the buyer (pictured above), still has that laser pointer today.
